HVAC Engineer is a professional who is engaged in providing specialized engineering services in the areas related to heating, ventilation, and air conditioning. The HVAC engineer responsibilities comprise designing, testing, and manufacturing the systems related to heating, air conditioning, and ventilation so that they are properly fitted to meet the required specifications for the old buildings as well as the newly constructed buildings. Thus, plays a vital role in leading, managing, and overseeing the functioning of the HVAC engineering department.
List of Task/Responsibilities
Installation, commissioning and routine maintenance work of air conditioning and refrigeration systems for new‐built and refurbishment of Offshore Structures, such Floating Production Storage Offloading (FPSO) vessels, Floating Storage Offloading (FSO) vessels, LNG Tankers, Navy Vessels and general marine vessels.
Assess System type, ducting, piping, electrical requirements etc
System Control Philosophy
Shall coordinate project design work including planning and design with HVAC Design Team
Perform calibration of all electrical and pneumatic control components, by interpreting blue prints and manufacturer specifications
The delivery of preplanned maintenance routines and reactive repairs to air conditioning and refrigeration systems
Ensure compliance with all health and safety, quality management and environmental procedures
Service repairs to include system diagnosis, troubleshooting, leak testing, refrigerant recovery, compressor overhaul, system integrity pressure testing and electrical fault finding
Prepare technical reports for use by engineering, management, or sales personnel.
For refurbishment, conduct an assessment and feasibility study into the complete replacement of an HVAC and Refrigeration system.

Requirements
The Candidate must have a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, specialized in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Systems.
It is also essential that applicants must have the ability to read and understand engineering drawings such as P&IDs or CAD and have at least 2-3 year’s experience as a Marine Air‐Cond & Refrigeration Engineer
